Comment:
I have a set of 16 rims with the 205 x 60 tyres attached which are used on the front only and the tyres make up the running radius size to the 19 standard on this Mondeo Titanium X Estate. I travel weekly Berwick to Aberdeen and keep the wheels in the Estate boot. The wheels are swopped out in 20 mins each time the temp drops to around 5-6 degrees C. I have a power driver and hydraulic scissor jack in the kit. This way the tyres are not worn excessively when the temp in Autumn and Spring is unseasonally warm. The tyres are exceptional in cold wet conditions and I have done some tests to prove it. The narrower rims and higher profile tyres 205 x60, compared with the standard 235 x40 cut through and grip in snow far better than the originals which make the Mondeo almost undriveable in compacted snow.
