    The tyre ratings certainly do not lie, my Corsa Nurburgring grips very well in most conditions. The car itself was not developed to be a comfortable cruiser anyway, and the 225 35 18 is at the limit size wise I can put on without scuffing arches on fast cornering. The car will never break 50mpg anyway like a small modern diesel version can so fuel consumption rating was not a factor in buying, was all about the grip which these tyres definitely deliver.
