These tyres effectively offer no rim protection. The alloys actually protrude wider than the tyre even thought correct size. Save money on tyres - spend money on repairing dings in rims.

Comment:
The protective wall on the tyre is not as thick as the Dunlop SP that are as standard and so do not protect the rim as well. Also, mixing them on the car does show the visual difference... the Dunlops are fatter and look more luxurious, the Falkens have a straighter side wall and look more suitable for racing than luxurious driving. I would buy them again as they are a great tyre, but keep the Dunlops on my alloys for the added protection, and get a set of winter rims for the Falkens... I now need to get my alloys resprayed! Ah well, it was definitely worth a try. Tip: don't go round the drive-through at the Derby McDonalds as the rims scrape on the kerb stones, much to my chagrin.
