These tires came on the car when I bought it. I can see why they were bought, they're very inexpensive for the size that is on this car. (245/40/18 Front, 275/35/18 rear). However, these tires are total garbage. They are BY FAR the loudest thing on/in my car (except the stereo). VERY NOISY! Dry traction is good, corners well, however, even in dry weather, it's hard not to break them loose even with moderate throttle. Traction control comes on most of the time for a couple of seconds on take-off. But here's the worst part --wet traction (or a lack thereof). We had a moderate rain today, and these tires ABSOLUTELY SUCK! The traction control indicator would flash constantly while accelerating (mild throttle application). Felt like the back-end of the car was going to break loose several times around corners but didn't due to the awesome stability control on the car. Even though the E55 is a relatively heavy car, it has a lot of torque and HP. These tires simply cannot handle it. Wet or Dry. I would not recommend these tires to anyone with a high performance vehicle. Traction is ok at best when it's dry, and absolutely useless in the wet. As a matter of fact, they were so bad today, that I went and ordered a new set of tires. These tires are not at all confidence inspiring. Stay away, save your hard earned cash for a better tire. If you need to go cheap, get Kumho's instead WAY more tire for the money, and they're actually good. NOTE: MY nankang's still have 8/32" of tread in the front and 7/32" in the rear.
