Purchased thesed for my Trnsporter after the snow of winter 2010/11. Whilst they are not as good as the Alpins on my car they were half the price. Good for the money, snow grip vastly improved to 'normal' tyres but not as good as the best winter tyres.

Bought a set of these and put them on a spare set of alloys from Ebay. Used them November to March on everything from thick snow to hard packed ice on motorways. They were excellent throughout, enabling me to reach places others had given up on and they inspired confidence. I'm going to repeat the process this year, can't recommend them enough.

Brilliant in snow & Ice really grippy, however when running on them my economy dropped by about 5 mpg.

The above ratings are a comparison with a summer tyre on the same car. They enabled me to go out in snow, which was otherwise impossible. Emergency braking in the wet/snow was tested- they performed well. They were much quieter than the summer tyres, and more fuel efficient. The tread was down to 7.5mm on the front and 8mm on the rear after this distance (I don't know the depth at new), and reckon on them lasting 12 to 15k miles on the front. They will be on again this Scottish winter.
