I use TS790 for winter driving only. My rear wheel drive C230's summer tires don't handle snow/ice well. I could sense big improvement difference with TS790 over my summer tires on snow/ice environment. The only thing keep your car slowing down from hitting another car/structure is grip of tires. You can get by with All Season on front or all wheel drive cars/trucks. You will need to have a set of snow tires if you have a rear wheel drive car or risk crawling and struggling at right lane on snow/ice.
