    Comment:
Good cold / wet performance on our rear wheal drive 320D. We run these on a separate set of rims and swap back to the standard tyres in Spring. Handling is no where near as precise as with the 18 inch Michelin Pilot Sports tyres. The Alpin tyres are also narrow compared to the Pilot Sports and hard driving in dry conditions would certainly cause wear. Knowing that the car is able to handle cold / wet / snow / ice is very reassuring and though winter tyres are not cheap they are much less expensive than an accident and insurance claim.

    Comment:
Into my third Winter on these tyres. Wet & dry performance is excellent, much improved ride quality over summer run flats. On snow, good enough but not great they are probably more suited to FWD or 4WD drive vehicles. On RWD you might prefer something with slightly better snow performance. Overall an excellent tyre for cold/wet conditions with occasional snow. If you live in an area with very frequent snow then there are probably better options available.
