Sportec M3 don’t give me confidence in the slightest when wet. I’ve had the rear wheel spin out on me when opening up to overtake on motorways in the wet. I’m not a light person son the bike has a good load weight but breaking is very poor in the wet too.

Never liked the Pirelli's in the wet so tried these and got just a nice all round result. Not brilliant at anything but trustworthy in any weather.

These tyres were a revelation. All year round sporty road tyre - which perfectly matches the Street Triple. Plenty of dry summer grip and just on the quick side of neutral steering, but quick warm up and consistent grip in winter. Confident wet grip.

Took a while to get used to them and had to change suspension settings to get a smoother transition from upright to lean. Good lean angles can be obtained. Slight tendency to push the front at decent lean angles but does give feedback when this happens.

Fitted Pilot Road 4s almost a year ago now and have done a lot of touring and commuting on them in all seasons. They've never let me down. Feel significantly more nimble than the previous Metzlers, dropping in quicker and almost popping from leaning one way to the other. Though to be fair the flat spot in the old ones probably made them feel worse than they would have done new.

after the previous set that was metzeler roadtec 01 I have return to Michelin Pilot road 5 because they last a bit longer even though I've spent extra £50 . excellent tyre

Extremely good in dry conditions. A bit of a "twich" a couple of times round bends in the wet but quickly corrected. They are comfortable and good mileage ( these are my second set). Still cannot get rid of the last 1 inch chicken strip - never had these problem with the Pirelli Angel - I blame the profile :-) Very good tyres. Second pair so far... no more to say

I’ve ridden on many tyres but I thought I’d spend a bit more and get the Michelin road 5, I first went out when it was pouring with rain and I was astounded! The level of grip was unbelievable, the lean angle you can get was incredible, just like riding in the dry, I’m always hard on the brakes (comes from track racing) and believe me you can get the back wheel off the floor in the wet, don’t just whack them on the let the suspension compress first. Anyway enough rattling on, Amazing road tyres 👍

Extremely good in dry conditions. A bit of a "twich" a couple of times round bends in the wet but quickly corrected. They are comfortable and good mileage ( these are my second set). I’ve ridden on many tyres but I thought I’d spend a bit more and get the Michelin road 5, I first went out when it was pouring with rain and I was astounded! The level of grip was unbelievable, the lean angle you can get was incredible, just like riding in the dry, I’m always hard on the brakes (comes from track racing) and believe me you can get the back wheel off the floor in the wet, don’t just whack them on the let the suspension compress first. Anyway enough rattling on, Amazing road tyres 👍
